Creates images of games on optical discs or creates MP3/ Track audio cd's for your car or home computer. It provides security features as well, for example, the VHD backups and TrueCrypt containers. Via iSCSI Targets you can use remote images as local ones.

Daemon Tools Lite is a software program designed to allow individuals to create virtual drives, mount and unmount images, and generate image files. It also offers support for RMPS, SafeDisc, LaserLock, and SecuROM.

You don't need high computer knowledge in order to use this software. A supported image file is enough to get the job done. The installation process is very straightforward and fast, so you don't need to worry about it, though you should pay attention to third-party programs and ads.

The interface you're greeted by is quite minimalistic, but at the same time has a modern design. The layout is composed of a left side menu, the main window display, and a Preferences menu at the bottom. Besides the default theme, there are no other skin themes.

About its functionalities, Daemon Tools Lite, as I said at the beginning, offers support for various formats, such as MDX, MDS, MDF, ISO, IMG, CCD, ISZ, CDI, B5T, B6T, BWT, NRG, VHD, TC, ISCSI, VMDK, VDI or ZIP, and can emulate up to four virtual drives.

Apart from the well-known imaging tools, this program allows you to burn discs, boot USBs, and even initiate iSCSI protocols. The only downside of these features is that you have to pay in order to have them installed.

All things considered, Daemon Tools Lite is a very comprehensive program, one of the most popular virtual drives creator and image emulator, as well as very responsive and very practical.
